Naples 2023

Ocean&Climate Village

From March 6 to 12, 2023, the Ocean&Climate Village traveling exhibition visited Castel dell'Ovo in Naples. This was the first interactive educational exhibition curated by UNESCO-IOC, created in collaboration with the City of Naples Department of Culture and Tourism, with the support of E.ON.

The Ocean&Climate Village exhibition explores the connections between the ocean and climate, offering visitors a hands-on experience. It serves as a platform for discussions on marine conservation, ecosystem regeneration, and biodiversity, showcasing the results of the Save the Wave project. The event also addresses topics like the blue economy, innovation, and sustainable design, fostering learning and collaboration.

The event was attended by 1300 visitors among journalists, tourists, citizens, and university students, and more than 530 students took part in the workshops and interactive tours guided by environmental educators and ocean experts.
