Community engagement is at the heart of Save the Wave. To ensure lasting impact, one of the project’s standout initiatives is hosting events that inspire people to protect the marine environment.

In July 2025, Save the Wave has been one of the main partner of the Posidonia Green Festival organized in Bogliasco, Italy. The Posidonia Green Festival is an Eco-Festival of Art and Nature where music, cinema, photography, and performing arts blend with science and education to spread knowledge and best practices in defense of our blue planet.

The festival has been organized by Posidonia Green Project, under the patronage of the Municipality of Bogliasco, the Liguria Region, and the Blue District of Genoa, and with the support of UNESCO-IOC and E.ON as part of the Save the Wave project.
Attendance reached around 2,000 people over the two main days of activities, with strong participation from families, schools, associations, and active citizens.
