Education is at the heart of Save the Wave. Through a strong focus on Ocean Literacy, students and teachers from local schools were engaged in education actions to learn about the importance of Posidonia meadows. These efforts foster a deeper connection between people and their environment, empowering them to play an active role in its preservation.

In spring 2023, about 170 students from schools across Puglia participated in hands-on learning experiences led by educators and marine biologists from the University of Bari. These programs combined classroom lessons with outdoor activities, inspiring students to think critically about marine conservation and become the next generation of ocean stewards.
